On the 10th Anniversary of the Publishing of “On Preserving the Juche Character and National Character of the Revolution and Construction”
June 19th Juche 96 (2007) marks the 10th anniversary of the publishing of the Respected Supreme Commander Comrade KIM JONG IL’s epoch work “On Preserving the Juche Character and National Character of the Revolution and Construction”.
The previous revolutionary theory owing to historical limitations which defined scientific socialism strictly from the standpoint of mechanical materialism lacked a firm appreciation for the role of humanity as the subject of the revolution. It negated consciousness and ideology while failing to give correct answers to the question of defending national traditions against imperialist “globalization”.
Leader KIM JONG IL in this piece brilliantly illustrates the principle of socialist patriotism and international solidarity via a standpoint liberated from cosmopolitan illusions which many leftists seem to cling to. He illustrates that ours’ is an era of fierce anti-imperialist class struggle were the masses have awaken to their role as masters of the revolution and society, an era were socialism is built from the standpoint of motherland defense and the unity and independence of nations.
The moves of the revisionists who slander socialism by calling it “barracks like” and “totalitarianism” is smashed. Then he brilliantly calls upon the people of Korea and the world to follow the revolutionary path of the great leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG for the victory of socialism and anti-imperialist independence via safeguarding the Juche character and national character of the revolution and construction.
In our era were the masses are turning out in resistance, an era after revisionism and dogmatism has come to final ruin in a number of countries, we find that the revolution is an organic national product which must be built and defended from the standpoint of anti – US motherland defense centering around the popular masses as masters of the universe and their own destiny.
The brilliant path of the DPRK, under the wise tutelage of the great leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG and the dear leader Comrade KIM JONG IL proves without a doubt the superiority of Juche and Songun when building socialism and confronting imperialism.
Now more than ever, it is vital that the progressive and revolutionary forces of socialism and national liberation struggle to defend the Juche and national character of the revolution in their own countries according to their concrete conditions.
We salute the Respected Supreme Commander Comrade KIM JONG IL for his brilliant international accomplishments as a decade passes since the publishing of this monumental work.
